چکیده

The harvesting of hops (Humulus lupulus L.) generates large amounts nutrient-rich leaves that can be used in composting mixtures to add value other organic resources on the farm. In this study, hop were mixed with cow manure and wheat straw several combinations aim establishing guidelines how farmers manage raw materials better use these valuable resources. process was monitored quality composts evaluated relation effects lettuce (Lactuca sativa grown pots over two consecutive cycles. mixture produced a stable compost after nine months which may horticultural crops, irrespective proportion materials, due their low similar C/N ratios. However, when using proportions less than 2:1, did not mature properly, showing high Their application soil led strong reduction plant tissue N concentrations, biological immobilization, significantly reduced dry matter yield. Thus, reduce time increase compost, ratio leaves/straw should as possible, at least 2:1. Alternatively, either take longer, or poorly-matured applied far advance sowing crop so complementary processes place soil, recorded second cycle lettuce. Ash from stems benefit proved itself worth mixtures.

Biochar affected by composting with farmyard manure.

Biochar applications to soils can improve soil fertility by increasing the soil's cation exchange capacity (CEC) and nutrient retention. Because biochar amendment may occur with the applications of organic fertilizers, we tested to which extent composting with farmyard manure increases CEC and nutrient content of charcoal and gasification coke. Both types of biochar absorbed leachate generated ...

Degradation of Tetracyclines in Pig Manure by Composting with Rice Straw.

A holistic approach was followed for utilizing tetracyclines (TCs)-contaminated pig manure, by composting this with rice straw in a greenhouse for CO₂ fertilization and composted residue application. After composting, the composted residues can be applied to cropland as a supplemental source of synthetic fertilizers. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of pig manure-rice str...

Ethanol production from mixtures of wheat straw and wheat meal

BACKGROUND Bioethanol can be produced from sugar-rich, starch-rich (first generation; 1G) or lignocellulosic (second generation; 2G) raw materials. Integration of 2G ethanol with 1G could facilitate the introduction of the 2G technology. The capital cost per ton of fuel produced would be diminished and better utilization of the biomass can be achieved. It would, furthermore, decrease the energy...

Co-composting of livestock manure with rice straw: characterization and establishment of maturity evaluation system.

Composting is considered to be a primary treatment method for livestock manure and rice straw, and high degree of maturity is a prerequisite for safe land application of the composting products. In this study pilot-scale experiments were carried out to characterize the co-composting process of livestock manure with rice straw, as well as to establish a maturity evaluation index system for the c...
